Alice (Piglet) Tian's 1st Web Space小小猪 の 日记 February 28 Moved to NYCI have not come here to update my blog for so long. There are a lot of changes! Dad changed his job to NYC in Sept, so mom and I left the sunny California with him and came to the cold NY. At first, mom and I do not like NYC, it is cold, gloomy and crowded. I miss the big swimming pool and my sunny room. But soon I found out NYC is a cool place. (The temperature is much colder than LA, so it is cool, hehe).
Daddy and mommy took me to a big toys store one night. Wow, it must be the biggest toys store in the whole world. There is a big moving dinosaur, a tall giraffe, and so many toys! There is even a roller coaster inside of the store. Daddy bought me a red elmo that can laugh, roll and stand up by itself! August 15 Sing songsMom always sings songs to me. She loves to hold me, dancing and singing. When I am mad (e.g. a long drive in the car), she sings to me and claps her palms with the rythms. I love music, and her song always makes me calm down.
Few months ago, mom's hard work is rewarded. It was a saturday morning. Mom put me to sit between her and dad. I swang my body and sang "twinkle, twinkle, little star". Mom and dad are totally astonished. Their eyes are very very big, saying "I cannot believe it". Mom grabbed me and asked dad "did you hear? did you hear what she sang?" and then she turned to me "can you sing again?". I am so pround of such an effect. From that day on, I tried to learn news songs. Everytime i sing a new song, mom is sooo happy. Now I can sing 7 to 10 songs. When we drove last week, I keep on singing songs to them. Mommy and daddy said it is the happiest time in their lives.
Yesterday, daddy called the great aunt and told her I can sing "The Blue Danube"(蓝色多瑙河), "Ode of Joy“(歡樂頌), 梁祝, 上海滩. Daddy said I inherited the music gift of the Tian family. I could tell daddy is really pround of me. :-) January 01 I am one year old!Mom told me I will be one year old starting from today. Wow!!! I am a big girl now.
Yesterday when I sat with daddy in the sofa, I turned to him and kept on saying "da da". He was sooo happy that he could not close his mouth, and kept on saying "da da" back to me. I think he is learning words from me.
I have a lot of my own ideas. I do not like crawl, or left alone, or noisy sound. I like stand, music, and the food mom cooks for me. I always tell mom what I like and what I do not like, but she does not respect my ideas all the times. For example, she always tries to force me to crawl. She puts me tummy down with my friend puppy or the singing bird in front of me and asks me to reach for them. I really do not understand why she asks me to crawl. I do not see other grown up crawl on the floor. As soon as mommy puts me tummy down, I turn around immediately, waving my hands and feet and shout at her "I do not like it". I like to stand like mom and dad do. Whenever possible, I will pull a table / toy / mom's arms to try to make myself stand up. I could hold a table and stand for a long time and play.
Happy New Year! Call me and I will say that over the phone. November 14 My first hair cutDaddy always tells me I am the most beautiful princess, but if I could have more hair, I will be more beautiful. A few days ago (Aug. 18) he and mom brought me out to a big room that had a lot of tables, and a lot of strangers sitting around the tables, having food. A lady with apron came upon, said I was so beautiful, but if I were given hair cut twice, I would have thick and black hair. On the way back, I heard mom and dad debated heatedly. Dad wanted to give me a hair cut, but mom said it is too dangerous. The next day was Saturday. Dad got up early. I barely saw him in such an early morning. He put me in my favorite colorful car seat. I had thought he was going to bring me out again, but I was soooo wrong. I felt something cold running on my head, with “weng weng” noise. Before I could figure out what game it was, mom rushed in, and begged “please do not shave her front hair. I am planning to buy ribbon bow for her”. But daddy said “it is ok. She will have much better hair very soon.” Then he laughed happily, talked to me “what is your name? How about naming you zhu1 jiu3 jie4?” June 27 June 18: My 1st Father's DayMy dearest daddy,
Mommy told me a lot of times how much you love me. She said I am the only one that can drag you up in the middle of your deep sleep. :D I want to tell you I love you so much, too! I have told you a lot of times in my baby talk, when I smile at you, and when I cry on your shoulder. I will always be your little sweet heart!
Your piglet :@) June 19 May 28: Slept through the nightHello everyone,
I have not been updating the blog for a while now. I am sorry... But that's because during the last month, I was very busy:
- helping Dad prepare his CFA exam (btw, he think he did very well)
- helping Mom unpack moving boxes (btw, we have successfully hidden all the boxes)
- and helping Dad and Mom at work, since they were super busy with their work load.
Ok, Ok, I didn't do all that, but Mommy and Daddy were indeed super busy during the last month.
Oh, I have a huge accomplishment to report! Normally, I wake up 2-3 times every night. This is very tiring for the person taking care of me (Auntie Li, Mommy, or Daddy). But one Sunday night, after Daddy feed me around 11pm, I felt so tired and I fell asleep. (BTW, I drink 5oz/150ml per feeding) I slept and slept and slept, next thing I know, it was Mommy that woke me up, and it was 7am in the morning!
I SLEPT THROUGH THE WHOLE NIGHT!! Mommy said typical babies can sleep through night when they are 4-5 months, and I did it when I was exactly 2 month old. May 23 5.14 Happy Mother's Day!My Dearest Mommy,
Happy Mi-Day! See? Even though I am only 1 month old, I already know this is your 1st Mi-Day! You are the best Mi in the whole world!!
You carried me in your stomach for 9 months, and you took care of me after I was born. The last two nights must be especially tough for you, since Auntie Song and Li were gone, and Daddy was sleeping like me... (Actually, better than a baby...) I am so grateful of what you have done for me, MOM!!
Have a wonderful Mother's day! You deserve it!!
Love,
Alice Piglet May 17 New HomeI'm very pleased to announce that we moved into our new home last week. This is our own home, and that I finally have my own room! (Sadly, I was living in the living room for my first month...) Now my room is bright, quiet, and it is in pretty light yellow.
Oh, I was told that our home is over 1700 square feet. But when I got there, I thought it was much much bigger. You see, measuring with my own foot, it must be over 10,000 squre feet... I guess the person who measured it must have a very large feet... ;-)
We can also see the swimming pool from our house. In the morning, Auntie Lee brings me to patio to enjoy the sun shine and the beautiful view. Daddy promised to teach me swimming after a couple of years. But that is such a long time! I will start with my bathtub...
May 05 Apr 30: First SmileMommy and Daddy always called me a "sleeping beauty" because I smile only during sleep. But something different happened today... In the afternoon, I was in a music chair with delightful music and have toys hanging above. At first I am very excited and keeps on kicking. But soon I felt bored and made "ar-ar" noise. Mom picked me up, smiled at me and talked to me gently. I feel so happy that I gave her a big smile back. Mommy was so excited that she immediately called Daddy at work and said I had my first smile! When Daddy got home, he seemed so tired and bumped out that he missed my smile. I am not sure what is the big deal with a smile. So I smile at him, and again, and again. I could see his eyes just lit up, and yelled out "she is smiling, she is smiling!!" Well, now, not only can I smile, I can also wink. Don't believe me? Just take a look at my picture below. ;-) April 28 One Month OldHello, Hello, Everyone, And I have a HUGE announcement to make. No, no, not that I am exactly one month old today.
